Connect your PSP via a USB Cable
You can directly connect your PSP to your PC with a USB cable - you will need a USB cable with a USB 5-Pin Mini-B connector on one end, and a standard USB PC connector on the other end.

This cable is not normally supplied with the PSP, so if you do not have such a cable, you will need to purchase one.
- Connect the mini connector to the top of your PSP and the other end of the cable into a USB slot on your PC. For the best perfornance, connect your PSP to a USB 2.0 slot.
- Make sure the PSP is on.
- Scroll to the 'Settings' menu by pressing the left arrow on the PSP.
- Select 'USB Connection' using the up and down arrows on the control pad.
- Press the 'X' button.
- Your PC should detect the PSP device, and show it in Explorer as a new drive (for example, 'F:').
